MacBook 13″ Retina display

The MacBook 13″ Retina ships a 13.3-inch panel at 2560×1600 — 227 pixels per inch. At the default 2× scaling, macOS renders a workspace that looks like 1280×800 points while drawing every element with four physical pixels.

This 227 PPI panel debuted on the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display in 2012 and set the 2× scaling template every Mac has followed since: a 1280×800-point workspace where every point is drawn with four physical pixels.
